Shawntae has been actively involved in the Equine Industry since the mid 1990s. She enjoyed her time in 4-H (becoming Rookie of the Year), IJRA, NBHA (multiple Youth and Open World Qualifier, Youth World 2000 Top 5), and numerous Open Horse Shows with her personal horses before earning her AS in Ag Sales and her BS in Equine Science from Dickinson State in 2011.
Shawntae started her business in 2010, by completing her certification in Equine Massage through NE Indiana Equine Massage Therapy & Rehab. Over the years, she has grown her business by adding additional Equine and Canine Sports Therapy Certifications, Human LMT Licensing (2016), and ongoing CEUs and certifications.
In 2016, Shawntae decided to share the knowledge that she had spent years gaining and started teaching Human Massage Therapy at Ivy Tech, but after 2 semesters, the horses continued to call louder and she left to join forces with her friend and Mentor, Connie Bultemeier to travel teaching Equine Massage Therapy, Canine Massage, as well as other courses, and give live demos at Equine Expos across the USA. Shawntae has worked hard to expand her business into the two sides she loves; teaching and providing therapeutic services to her amazing clients.
Since 2017, Shawntae has worked on the backside at Horseshoe Indianapolis, providing sports therapy services to the Racing Thoroughbreds, Quarter Horses, their suport goats/ponies, farm dogs, and their Humans. Finding this industry and helping those in it, has brought immense joy into Shawntae's life.
Shawntae enjoys her horses and riding when she can. Growing up as a Barrel Racer, she has shifted to raising colts alongside her growing business. She enjoys Barrel Racing, Rodeos, and Trail Riding/Camping with her horses. She also enjoys furthering her education by taking classes every year herself, such as dissections, anatomy, and lameness evaluation.
